The Emmes Group of Companies was founded in 1992 as a privately-owned real estate investment company. On behalf of its principals and partners, Emmes acquires real estate with a common denominator throughout: opportunity. This opportunity is defined as a position in which Emmes can deploy its financial resources and human capital to enhance the value of an asset. In its early years, Emmes purchased RTC debt portfolios and distressed debt from insolvent financial institutions. Today, we continue to be creative in acquiring assets with strong potential for growth. The company generally invests in and manages four property types- retail, office, industrial, and multifamily. Since its founding, Emmes has developed strong, lasting relationships with a number of capital partners including major opportunity funds and foreign investors. In recent years, Emmes has expanded its client base to include pension funds.
